Many companies encourage philanthropy among their employees and will match a donation made to a nonprofit. Here’s how to double your gift to Adventure Unlimited:

• Ask your Human Resources department if the company matches gift donations.
• If they do, you may need to fill out a form and provide the following information:

• Follow your company’s instructions for submitting the form. They may have you submit it to them or Adventure Unlimited.

That’s it! Your company will send its matching donation directly to Adventure Unlimited.

Do several smaller contributions over time make more sense for you than a large one-time gift? As an Adventure Partner, you can set up monthly or quarterly donations that put you hand-in-hand with our mission of “Opening Windows to God” for the thousands we serve each year.

Adventure Partners play a critical role through monthly or quarterly gifts and provide much-needed stability in our budget so we can continue to provide spiritually-based, adventure-filled activities for young people yearning to better understand their relationship with God.

Becoming an Adventure Partner is easy and allows you to give in comfortable increments each month or quarter straight from your bank account or credit card.

Here’s what your monthly gift can accomplish in just one year:

• $10 – 5 new rafting helmets
• $20 – games and supplies for a national DiscoveryBound event
• $50 – 2 new mega mid tents for the Mountaineering program
• $100 – feed for one horse
• $250 – sponsorship of two lectures to the A/U Ranches – one each for Round-Up and Sky Valley Ranch – by a Christian Science lecturer, including travel

Plus, when you become an Adventure Partner at $84/month or higher, you’ll join The Andrews Society, a recognition for donors who give $1,000 or more each year to our Annual Fund, which supports Adventure Unlimited’s operations.

After submitting your online donation, you will receive a confirmation by email and be enrolled in our Adventure Partner program.

The Andrews Society, named for our founders John “Cap” and Marianne Andrews, recognizes those individuals and organizations who value the mission of Adventure Unlimited and have made a gift of $1,000 or more within a single fiscal year in support of the Annual Fund.

Adventure Unlimited’s Annual Fund covers more than 50% of operating expenses each year thanks to generous donors. Gifts to the Annual Fund allow us to continue offering transformative programs; in fact, we can’t operate without this support.

Members of The Andrews Society make a substantial impact on the Annual Fund, which supports our operations as well as A/U Ranches camperships, DiscoveryBound scholarships, and capital needs. Adventure Unlimited’s 2023 Annual Fund goal is $4.5 million.

• Discoverers ($5,000-$9,999): You have felt the powerful results that come from activities that inspire and support today’s children and teens. You’re a vital part of Adventure Unlimited and its purpose and have been moved to action by stories about the individuals blessed by our programs. You want to move the organization forward.

Gifts through donor-advised funds help sustain Adventure Unlimited’s programs and operations while allowing you to realize greater tax benefits than if you only claimed the standard deduction.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a smart gift planning tool used by a growing number of donors to pre-fund multiple years of charitable giving. Concentrating multiple years of giving into one year allows you to itemize deductions and save income taxes while continuing to support Adventure Unlimited consistently.

Why Use a Donor-Advised Fund?

The 2017 Tax Act doubled the standard deduction from $12,000 to $24,000 for married couples. As a result, many taxpayers are no longer able to itemize deductions such as charitable gifts. A DAF allows donors to keep receiving tax benefits for their giving by alternating between claiming the larger standard deduction and itemizing deductions when they replenish their DAF. They use their DAF for most or all of their charitable giving, making grants from their DAF to favorite charities like Adventure Unlimited.

How to Make a Gift With a Donor-Advised Fund

You can recommend a gift to Adventure Unlimited through your DAF in two ways:

1. If you don’t already have a DAF account, contact your financial advisor or establish one directly with a financial institution or community foundation that offers DAFs.
2. If you have a DAF, contact your DAF administer and recommend a grant to Adventure Unlimited using the following information:

NOTE: Your DAF grant will arrive at Adventure Unlimited with only the DAF’s name and address on it unless you request otherwise, so please ask for your name and address to be included. Securities, or tradable assets, such as stock are a great and easy way to help support Adventure Unlimited programs while receiving additional tax benefits. Much like giving cash, when you give stock, you potentially lower your personal income tax liability. But when you give the gift of stock you are also able to avoid paying tax on the capital gains of the investment for a possible additional tax benefit. Horses Available for Adoption

• MILLIE – Millie is a beautiful, athletic, chestnut Quarter Horse born right here at the A/U Ranches in 2008. She was started as a two-year-old, and now the campers are enjoying her. She excels in polocrosse, gymkhana and mounted shooting. Millie may be small, but she’s a powerhouse. She is one of our most dependable and talented performance horses on the ranch. Both campers and staff love her.
• FROST [ADOPTED!] – Frost is a beautiful buckskin with a sweet nature and lots of leg and heart. He was purchased from a young rancher who used him to move cattle, and it didn’t take him long to learn what we do at the A/U Ranches, placing fifth in the overall gymkhana (a series of four events) – not bad since he had just learned the poles, barrels and keyhole this summer. He loves a job and excels in working cattle.
• WYLIE – Wylie was born on May 18, 2018. We purchased the mother, knowing she was in foal. Mom and Wylie came to the A/U Ranches summer 2018 for all the staff and campers to enjoy.
• LEVI [ADOPTED!] – Levi is a buckskin gelding and the perfect horse for the A/U Ranches, taking young and inexperienced riders to new levels with his gentle nature and “I will take care of you” personality. Very quickly, he has become a favorite of the younger campers as well as of our family camp guests. He is a gem, and there are very few horses who have his gift of taking care of our campers and only doing what is asked of him.
• CASEY [ADOPTED!] – Casey is a favorite for staff and camper alike. She can take care of newer riders and also perform at a high level for more advanced riders. She’s won the staff gymkhana twice and is a pro at polocrosse. Casey is truly an all-around, talented, solid citizen – she’s worth her weight in gold.
• SLICK [ADOPTED!] – Slick is a beautiful golden palomino that catches everyone’s eye. He is gentle, with a “show me what to do next” attitude. He tries hard in everything that he’s learning at the A/U Ranches, and he has a big heart. He is light to the rein and leg but has a few more finishing touches to become a camper horse. As Slick matures, he will definitely be a ranch favorite, not only in his strapping good looks but also in his willingness to learn and his good nature.
• DELTA – Delta is a stout, strong, and very athletic mare that requires an advanced rider. She is versatile in all that she does, including serving as a pack horse for three-day trips. It takes a special horse that can pack 120 lbs in the wilderness, and also be ridden in so many ways. She is great on the trail, working cows, polocrosse, and gymkhana. Her nature is sweet, but as soon as you need to get something done while riding her she is a “let’s get it done” type of horse.
• SLOAN – Sloan is one of our younger horses. Our staff have been training her to join the upper elite of the polocrosse and gymkhana group. She’s on her way, having made great strides over the last few years. She’s a blast to ride – forward, spunky, and full of herself! We love her.
• SIX [ADOPTED!] – Six is another of the younger horses. He’s a blue roan, so sometimes he’s dark bay and other times he’s speckled white! He’s a stocky, gentle, easy ride. Our staff spent hours and hours in the saddle making him what he is today. He’s done parades, opened the gymkhana with the “posting of the flags” and is getting better and better every day at polocrosse and gymkhana events.
• TORINO – Meet Torino! He was “cutting” bred, which means he has good moves on him. He can turn it on when he needs to. Torino is a go-to horse because he’s dependable, fun, and talented. He’s great for all levels of rider and is also one of the prettiest horses we have!

When you donate a vehicle, Adventure Unlimited can turn it into cash to support our mission and you receive a tax deduction.

Do you have a vehicle you’re not using or isn’t operating any longer? All types of vehicles can be donated, including cars, trucks, RVs, boats, trailers, scooters, etc., anywhere in the country, at no cost to you or to Adventure Unlimited.

How It Works

• Visit Vehicles for Charity or call 628.CARS (2277). You will need the title of the vehicle and current mileage in hand when you contact them.
• Let them know you want the proceeds to support Adventure Unlimited.
• A towing company will call you directly to schedule a pickup.
• Give the towing company driver the keys and your appropriately signed title. The driver will give you a receipt.
