DiscoveryBound Outreach
G’day alumni! There’s great news for everyone: Adventure Unlimited’s focus on 20s/30s has progressed from the Young Adult Research conducted in 2017 to implementing its findings through the creation of the DiscoveryBound Young Adult Manager position and so much more. Having started in this new position in mid-September, I’m privileged to share this awesomeness with you.
MoreHey Adventure Unlimited family – we would love to hear from you! Here are some ways you can get in touch and get involved with DiscoveryBound and the A/U Ranches by planning out your next few months.
MoreWhat does it look like when you combine a TMC College Summit, a DiscoveryBound (DB) Outreach National Annual event, and a DiscoveryBound Compass fall retreat in Boston? Christian Scientists from all over the country gathering in one location to see and hear firsthand from staff at The Mother Church, Longyear Museum and, most importantly, each other!
MoreWith the spirit of gratitude and the Christ upon us this season, alumni may be looking for ways to reconnect with those cherished feelings from camp and A/U Chapters (DiscoveryBound). We can help! Give as much or as little time as you wish on your path to genuine connections.
MoreWhen you know about something wonderful, it’s natural to want to share it with others. That’s the approach that DiscoveryBound (DB) Ambassadors are taking: They’re spreading the word about DB Outreach, National Leadership Council and Compass programs in their local Christian Science communities.
MoreJeni and I took a few minutes recently to ask ourselves what it has meant to be able to give our time, treasure and talent to Adventure Unlimited – what is it that got us going, kept us going and has us excited for this year of service to the organization?
More#3: Volunteer. Make a difference for a young person’s spiritual growth in a DiscoveryBound program or at the A/U Ranches as a bunkhouse parent. Want to get away? Help us get ready for Youth Camp at Memorial Day Service Weekend.
MoreThere are snow showers some days, other days sunshine and warmth to melt it away. Most of the country enjoys joyful peeks at spring in between leftover patches of winter. Now it is the in-between time, when we begin to think about warmer days, adventures ahead of us, perhaps recalling memories of backpacking trips, paddling on the river or riding horses to campsites high in the evergreens.
MoreWhether you’re helping a child experience spiritual growth by supporting one of our programs or welcoming the Christ spirit into your heart this season at Christmas Camp, there are many ways to spread your joy with Adventure Unlimited.
MoreWhat’s it like to be an adult at a DiscoveryBound (DB) Outreach weekend event? “It was a wonderful and uplifting experience,” one adult participant says. “I never once felt left out of my group due to my age. People were bringing me outside of my comfort zone.”
