Giving Options
Adventure Partners play a critical role through monthly gifts and provide much-needed stability in our budget so we can continue to provide spiritually based, adventure-filled activities for all seeking God.
Becoming an Adventure Partner is easy and allows you to give in comfortable increments each month or quarter straight from your bank account or credit card.
Plus, when you become an Adventure Partner at $84/month or higher, you’ll join The Andrews Society, a recognition for donors who give $1,000 or more each year to our Annual Fund, which supports Adventure Unlimited’s operations.
Thank you for your partnership in this important work!
Many companies encourage philanthropy among their employees and will match a donation made to a nonprofit. Here’s how to double your gift to Adventure Unlimited:
- Ask your Human Resources department if the company matches gift donations.
- If they do, you may need to fill out a form and provide the following information:
Charity Name: Adventure Unlimited
EIN: 43-0798771
CEO: Michael Brown - Follow your company’s instructions for submitting the form. They may have you submit it to them or Adventure Unlimited.
That’s it! Your company will send its matching donation directly to Adventure Unlimited.
The Andrews Society, named for our founders John “Cap” and Marianne Andrews, recognizes those individuals and organizations who value the mission of Adventure Unlimited and have made a gift of $1,000 or more within a single fiscal year.
Donations cover more than 50% of operating expenses each year thanks to generous donors. These gifts allow us to continue offering transformative programs; in fact, we can’t operate without this support.
Members of The Andrews Society make a substantial impact on our operations as well as A/U Ranches camperships, DiscoveryBound scholarships, and capital needs.

Webinar: Getting the Most Out of Your Charitable Giving
This webinar presented by Scott Lumpkin, formerly Vice Chancellor of University Advancement at the University of Denver, explores creative charitable planning strategies that you can use to maximize your impact on favorite organizations like Adventure Unlimited, while also reducing your tax liability. (Recorded in 2020)
The Summit Society recognizes donors who make future gifts such as bequests or other estate commitments:

The General Operating Fund is an unrestricted fund that allows Adventure Unlimited the most flexibility in its use. This fund supports the entire organization, including any immediate needs that might arise.
If your heart has been touched by a specific program, there are ways to support that fund:
A/U Ranches Operating Fund
Horsemanship, rafting, mountaineering, and more! Your gift is used exclusively for supporting camp programs like the one you or someone you know may have attended at the A/U Ranches.
A/U Ranches Campership Fund
The gift of camp is truly a gift of a lifetime. This fund provides financial aid for youth engaged in Christian Science who want to experience the life-changing atmosphere of summer camp and qualify for financial assistance.
DiscoveryBound Outreach & Compass Operating Fund
Outreach connects individuals of all ages across the nation by providing year-round activities for Christian Scientists and their families and friends of all faiths. Compass is a one-school-year program open to Christian Science students in 10th–12th grade that focuses on spiritual exploration and connection with CS peers.
DiscoveryBound Outreach & Compass Scholarship Fund
Thousands of Christian Scientists and their friends participate annually in Outreach events, plus about a dozen teens in the Compass program. This fund ensures that those who need financial assistance can attend Outreach events, as well as Compass retreats.
DiscoveryBound National Leadership Council Operating Fund
Donations to this fund cover more than half of the expenses in NLC, DB’s four-year teen leadership program to foster qualities of servant leadership among Christian Science youth.
DiscoveryBound National Leadership Council Scholarship Fund
The four-year program takes high schoolers all over the country and world for various service and leadership opportunities. This fund ensures that teens who need financial assistance can participate in the many activities that are part of the NLC program.
Ted Cox Memorial NLC Trip Fund
Established in tribute to the spouse of Anabeth Cox, a former trustee, the purpose of this fund is to provide high-quality, impactful adventure and service trips for teens in DB NLC and to help reduce the cost of these trips for each family.
100 Elk Outdoor Center
A public program of the A/U Ranches, 100 Elk provides outdoor education and character development programs for schools and groups in the fall and spring. Transportation expenses continue to present challenges for schools that wish to run their program at our facility. A gift to 100 Elk helps offset these costs so students and schools with limited funding can participate.
Capital Projects
With 1,600 acres and dozens of buildings at the A/U Ranches, ongoing support is needed to keep our facility safe and able to provide high-quality programming.
Gifts through donor-advised funds help sustain Adventure Unlimited’s programs and operations while allowing you to realize greater tax benefits than if you only claimed the standard deduction.
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a smart gift planning tool used by a growing number of donors to pre-fund multiple years of charitable giving. Concentrating multiple years of giving into one year allows you to itemize deductions and save income taxes while continuing to support Adventure Unlimited consistently.
Why Use a Donor-Advised Fund?
The 2017 Tax Act doubled the standard deduction from $12,000 to $24,000 for married couples. As a result, many taxpayers are no longer able to itemize deductions such as charitable gifts. A DAF allows donors to keep receiving tax benefits for their giving by alternating between claiming the larger standard deduction and itemizing deductions when they replenish their DAF. They use their DAF for most or all of their charitable giving, making grants from their DAF to favorite charities like Adventure Unlimited.
How to Make a Gift With a Donor-Advised Fund
You can recommend a gift to Adventure Unlimited through your DAF in two ways:
- If you don’t already have a DAF account, contact your financial advisor or establish one directly with a financial institution or community foundation that offers DAFs.
- If you have a DAF, contact your DAF administer and recommend a grant to Adventure Unlimited using the following information:
TAX ID: 43-0798771
Adventure Unlimited
5201 S. Quebec Street
Greenwood Village, CO 80111
NOTE: Your DAF grant will arrive at Adventure Unlimited with only the DAF’s name and address on it unless you request otherwise, so please ask for your name and address to be included. To allow us to thank you for your generosity, please also email Adventure Unlimited to inform us of your gift.
Transferring your stock is a great way to support Adventure Unlimited for years to come without disrupting your cash flow.
Help Adventure Unlimited Stock up for the Future!
Securities, or tradable assets, such as stock are a great and easy way to help support Adventure Unlimited programs while receiving additional tax benefits. Much like giving cash, when you give stock, you potentially lower your personal income tax liability. But when you give the gift of stock you are also able to avoid paying tax on the capital gains of the investment for a possible additional tax benefit. Donate to the cause you love while maintaining your cash for other things!

Horse Profiles
FROST
Frost is one of our most popular horses at the A/U Ranches! He was foaled in 2015 and is a registered Quarter Horse. Currently, he is one of the few buckskin-colored horses we have at the Ranches and is a crowd favorite as a result. He is known here for his good looks and sweet disposition. Frost is an athletic and competitive horse, and he excels in playing polocrosse, jumping, and local gymkhana events.
SIX
Six is a 2012 registered Quarter Horse. He has been at the Ranches since he was just two years old! He is a great all-around horse that is proficient at polocrosse, gymkhana events, cattle working, and trail riding. He is good for beginners to advanced riders as he has a tolerant, patient temperament that makes him an excellent teacher and companion.
CASEY
One of our long-time residents of the A/U Ranches, Casey has been excelling in the horsemanship programs since 2007, when she was purchased as a two-year-old. She has been our gymkhana series champion four different times! Casey is a beautiful bay mare with a lot of personality. Although not for beginners, she is a household name in the corral, and every staff member and camper has come to know her and love her.
DUALLY
Dually is a newer member of the A/U Ranches herd. Purchased in 2023 at auction as a seven-year-old, Dually has quickly become a reliable member of the team. Whether you’re scouting trails in the back country, riding in a local gymkhana, or practicing some cowboy mounted shooting, Dually will help you get it done.
BANDIT
Bandit is a 2006 Paint gelding who came to the A/U Ranches in 2019. He quickly became a crowd favorite due to his beautiful coloring and his unique eyes: one blue, one brown. Bandit has quickly become one of our most reliable kids' horses, excelling with our 7th- and 8th-grade Sky Valley campers in particular. He’s helped quite a few of them win first place in their division during gymkhana competitions. Bandit is a kind and quiet soul who loves attention and works hard to please his rider.
RED
Red is known as the tough-as-nails “grandma” of our horse herd. She came to us from a reputable trainer and had all the fancy moves put on her. Red enjoys most of our activities, but really loves to work cattle. She is a cowboy’s horse, as real as they get. Red is tough and gritty, but she loves children and takes good care of our Buckaroo campers. All of the young campers love her because she’s ready for anything!
TORINO
Torino is a 2003 AQHA gelding who was gifted to the A/U Ranches in 2010. Beginning his career here in the cattle working program, he quickly progressed to polocrosse, where he excelled with campers. Over the past 16 years at the ranches, he has steadily progressed through the programs, and now he is an absolute favorite among our Sky Valley campers. Although gentle and tolerant, Torino still has a bit of get-up-and-go on gymkhana day, and the campers and staff love his enthusiasm.
SLOAN
Sloan has been at the A/U Ranches since 2013, when she arrived as a two-year-old. Started by Lachlan Clarke, she quickly became a staff favorite for her quirky and sassy personality. They affectionately call her “Sloany Pony.” Sloan has been in the polocrosse program for many years and is considered one of our veterans in the program. Many campers have gotten a chance to test themselves on the field with her as their loyal partner. She is a beautiful bay mare, and her sire was a well-known Quarter Horse named Rap Cat, who excelled in the cattle working disciplines.
PEPPER
Pepper is a 2019 dapple grey Arabian mare who came to the Ranches at the end of 2024. After settling into her new surroundings, her personality began to emerge. Smart and intuitive, this mare is athletic and ready for anything. She’s got a beautiful trot and canter that feels like you’re floating across the ground. She will be in training with the A/U Ranches staff for the next year, but you might catch sight of her in the summer, strutting her stuff.
PANCAKE
Pancake is a 2012 Belgian draft cross that came to the A/U Ranches in 2024. She is a large, stout mare with a beautiful gold mane and tail. Pancake is friendly, gentle, and easy for everyone to get along with. She is famous for the thunderous sound she makes as she canters around the arena.
LEVI
Levi is a 16-year-old buckskin gelding. He is the perfect horse for the A/U Ranches, taking young and inexperienced riders to new levels with his gentle nature and “I will take care of you” personality. He has become a favorite of the younger campers, as well as our family camp guests. He is a gem; there are very few horses who have his gift of taking care of our campers and only doing what is asked of him.

Supporting Experiences That Change Lives
Our four daughters benefited from summers at the A/U Ranches for years, thanks to generous campership donors. Our youngest daughter benefited from the DB NLC program and continues to feel that support. We plan to give back so others can reap these loving life-changing experiences.
