Christian Science Educators’ Community
Fall Summit 2025

You are invited! Join us in a short pause for some spiritual professional development. Our virtual fall summit is an opportunity for educators to connect with likeminded peers, to share experiences and ideas, and to gather inspiration for the school year.

Anyone supporting the work of schools — teachers, substitutes, administrators, school staff, and those working in nonprofits that support education — is welcome!

Theme: “Hold thy gaze to the light” (from “The Way,” by Mary Baker Eddy – Miscellaneous Writings 1883-1896)

Virtual schedule overview:

• Friday, November 7  | 6:00-7:30 p.m. MT
• Saturday, November 8  | 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. MT

Activities will include:

• A metaphysical talk from Holly Morris, C.S. (a Journal-listed practitioner with a previous career as a classroom teacher)
• Group discussions on the spiritual application of “The Way” in school settings
• An educator panel challenging common concerns in the classroom
• A presentation from Chelsea Sheasley, Deputy National News Editor at the Christian Science Monitor, on how to “lift your head” above the mist of events in the news
• A workshop with Jenny Sawyer from The Mother Church on how to write for the Christian Science periodicals
• Time to intentionally pray for school and to share healing experiences

Cancellation Policy – Fall Summit 2025

Cancellation Terms:

• Cancellations made on or before October 5, 2025 will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after October 5, 2025.
• All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to csec@discoverybound.org

  • Joining the community is free for the 2025-2026 year
• On page 5 (“Additional Options”), check the CSEC 2025 Fall Summit box to register for the summit as well as the community itself
  • The summit costs $49 for the weekend
