Location: Winter Park, Colorado
Event Description: Come join us for an unforgettable weekend in the mountains of Colorado with other Christian Scientists and their friends. Enjoy skiing or snowboarding at Winter Park Resort, tubing, games, a metaphysical discussion, and plenty more fun winter activities. If skiing or snowboarding isn’t your thing, there are still lots of great ways to enjoy this snowy getaway. We hope you can make it!
Early Registration Fee: $180*

Registration will open on Tuesday, November 11, 2026 and closes on Monday, February 16, 2026 or until full.
Fee Includes: 3 nights lodging at Snow Mountain Ranch – YMCA of the Rockies (private cabin), 3 breakfasts, Friday & Saturday lunch, Friday & Saturday dinner, pre booked activities (ie. tubing, ice skating, rollerskating, etc) and a metaphysical talk/discussion.
Fee does not include: Thursday dinner, Sunday lunch, any transportation and some of the activity options (plus rentals) you decide to do. Please see Friday and Saturday options below.
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel now thru January 31, 2026 – you will receive a refund, less a $85 cancellation fee.
If you cancel after January 31, 2026 – no refunds will be issued.

Accommodations: We will be staying in a 7-bedroom cabin at Snow Mountain Ranch and can comfortably accommodate 23 people. It features 7 bedrooms with 4 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and 8 sets of bunk beds. There are also 4 bathrooms, an expansive living room and dining room, full-size kitchen, TV, fireplace, and outdoor fire ring and porch — perfect for enjoying beautiful Rocky Mountain views.

Transportation: The program starts at YMCA of the Rockies – Snow Mountain Ranch; unless you would like to meet for dinner at Smokehouse BBQ at 5:30pm, and finishes at First Church of Christ, Scientist. Snow Mountain Ranch is approximately 2 hours, and First Church is approximately 36 minutes from the Denver International Airport (DEN).

Want to carpool with someone? Select that option on the google form, so we can connect you with other individuals on the trip coming from the same direction. Please know this is not guaranteed. If there aren’t enough people driving we may need someone to rent a vehicle and then have the group of individuals split the cost/gas.
Driving Information:
- Arrival: Please arrive at Snow Mountain Ranch between 7:00-8:00 pm; unless you would like to meet for dinner at Smokehouse BBQ at 5:30pm.
- Departures: Flexible and based on your own timing. We’d love for you to join us at church on Sunday and stay for lunch before heading out, if your schedule allows.
Flight Information:
- Arrivals: Please book flights to arrive before 3:00 PM if you’d like to carpool with others. Our hope is that the group would depart at 3:30 PM to make it to dinner. If you arrive later, you’ll need to arrange your own transportation unless there is someone we can connect you with heading up later.
- Departures: Please book flights for 3:00 PM or later if you’d like to carpool with others. This timing allows you to attend church and enjoy lunch before departing. If you need to book outside of this timeframe, please reach out to us.
Financial Aid: DiscoveryBound offers financial aid for travel costs for these events. Financial support is determined on an individual need, and grants are awarded up to $150, not to exceed 50% of your total travel costs. Click here to complete the DB financial aid form. DB will notify you with the amount awarded within one month of your submitted request.

- Experience Colorado’s backcountry like you never have before, and go snowmobiling at Snow Mountain Ranch! With Grand Adventures’ guided tours and unguided snowmobile rentals, you’ll ride along with professional tour guides on nice wide-groomed trails, single track through the trees, powder play meadows, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some wildlife. - Horseback riding –
- Explore the natural beauty on horseback at Snow Mountain Ranch! Rocky Mountain Stables is a third-party horseback riding company located on the Snow Mountain Ranch property and offers a memorable horseback riding experience through the Rocky Mountains. - Snowshoeing & Cross country skiing –
- Strap on snowshoes and set out on an adventure through snow-frosted pine trees. Whether you’re a beginner or a snowshoe pro, our Snow Mountain Ranch snowshoe trails will spark wonder and awe in every step. View the Snowshoe Trail Map.
- Snowshoe rentals are available at the Nordic Center and range from $16-$22/rental ($16 half day/$22 full day). Free and public guided hikes are listed on the weekly Activity Guide, with hikes available for all levels of adventurers. To schedule a hike, or rent snowshoes, call the Programs Department two weeks in advance at 970.887.2152.
- Cross Country ski rentals are available at the Nordic Center and range from $16-$22/rental ($16 half day/$22 full day). For more information, please call our Programs Department at 970-887-2152 ext. 4135.
- Crafts –
- Bring your ideas and inspiration to the table. Projects range from $1 to $75 and include ceramics, leatherwork, mosaics, tie dye, wood burning, and more.
- Climbing –
- Snow Mountain Ranch’s three-story indoor climbing wall is located in the Kiva Recreation Center. During a 45-minute session, guests will harness up and have a chance to climb the rock wall with a trained facilitator. We have easy, moderate, and difficult routes to choose from. Guests must be between 40 and 250 lbs to use the climbing wall. Also, you may not bring your own gear. Pre-registration required.
- Dog sledding –

- We will be participating in many of the free activities on Saturday, February 28; however, if you’d prefer to maximize your time with these activities you are more than willing to participate in them on both days:

Saturday Activity Options: On Saturday, February 28; we will have a morning and afternoon activity block where you all will be able to participate in many of the on-property activities.
