DB Outreach Virtual Events Creating Impact in 2021

While face-to-face events have decreased, DiscoveryBound (DB) Outreach virtual events, like so many activities over the past year, have grown significantly. From inspiring talks to social networking events, thousands of participants across the globe have been coming together to make meaningful connections.

In January, DB Outreach held its most-attended online event ever: Dr. Laurance Doyle’s talk titled, “Can humpback whales help us with the search for extraterrestrial intelligence?” This event had 1,070 registered participants, and 450+ additional views after being posted in the new Inspiring Talks section of DiscoveryBound’s website.

One participant shared in an email to DB, “SO good and interesting in pointing out the Science of Christ in the expression of Mind and Life. So many thanks to you, and of course to Dr. Doyle, for sharing this talk!”

Other recent virtual successes were the DB 20s/30s women’s and men’s networking events. One participant in the women’s event gave this feedback:

Thank you for hosting and facilitating this event! I enjoyed seeing and meeting such a great group of women. It was wonderful to feel the collective energy of the group and to hear individuals’ unique stories and perspectives. It’s so important to find ways to feel connected right now, and this was a great way to encourage new connections among awesome women from all over.
