Join us in the Big Apple!
Come and bring your friends for an insider’s look at the ARTS. Dancers to graphic designers, actors to architects, musicians to fashion designers, this weekend will include something for everyone’s artistic interests and talent levels. Hear firsthand how professional actors, musicians, dancers, and visual artists apply Christian Science to their work and daily lives. Mark your calendar now because you won’t want to miss this exciting weekend!
WHO: All 8th-12th (Fall 2013) grade Christian Scientists and their non-CS friends
WHEN: Program begins at 7:00pm on Friday, August 30 and ends at 10:00am on Monday, September 2
ACCOMMODATIONS: Lodging is at a beautiful new hostel with adult chaperones.

TRAVEL: If flying, arrive at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) between 2:00-6:30pm on Friday, 8/30 and depart from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) between 1:00-5:00pm on Monday, 9/2. (If you have trouble finding flights within these travel windows, please contact dbinfo@discoverybound.org before booking.) Once you arrive in New York, our staff will meet you at the airport and then provide all local transportation for the program. If driving, please arrive at the Paper Factory Hotel between 7:00-7:30pm on Friday, 8/30 and depart from the Paper Factory Hotel between 10:00-10:30am on Monday, 9/2. There is no parking available at the hostel other than metered street parking.
COSTS:
Early registration* by July 31st = $330
Regular registration* after July 31st = $355
Registration ends Friday, August 16th at midnight (Space is limited!)
*Registration fee includes all lodging, meals and weekend activities.
Financial aid will be available through online registration form.
FINANCIAL AID: Financial aid applications will be available through the online registration form. Grants will be awarded on a need basis, taking into consideration the total cost to families (including travel expenses). For this event, the grant amount will be up to $280 per Christian Science participant.
NOTE: In addition to the DiscoveryBound financial aid fund, you may also want to see whether a local DiscoveryBound chapter or Christian Science branch church has funds to support this type of activity. Of course, you also have the option of raising your own funds! Try hosting a dessert auction or using your lawn mowing services as a way to earn money towards this trip.
