Giving To Adventure Unlimited
Why give to A/U?
A/U is a non-profit organization that depends upon contributions from friends
like you. Each year over $1,000,000 must be raised to meet the expenses
of providing a memorable experience to Christian Science youth, families
and friends. We maintain a very low percentage of overhead, (just 18%)
when compared with other nonprofit organizations, thus maximizing the
use of contributions toward programs for Christian Science youth.
It may interest you to know that to provide
a two-week camp session for one camper, it costs A/U $600 more than
tuition covers (we have about 600 campers per year). In addition, we
provide financial assistance (camperships) to more than 100 campers
a year. To provide our traditional western style summer camp experience
in the Rockies, it costs $1,000 per horse to maintain our herd of 70+
horses (about $70,000+ each year). To run chapter programs through DiscoveryBound,
it costs about $57 per teen participant (that's about 5,000 teens per
year at a cost of more than $288,000).

Scientists and leaders while providing you with reduced tax obligations.

You can give in the future through a Planned Giving contribution.
What to give?
Cash and securities can be given quickly and easily. You can make an online donation
by using your credit card and our secure
online donation method. You can also send us a check to our address
above.
If you need assistance with giving securities, please

Also, by donating securities you may be able to save capital gains
tax incurred with your securities. We always recommend you discuss
this type of donation with your tax advisor to determine any potential
tax advantages.
Life insurance is another easy method
to use in making a future donation to A/U. This can involve a new
policy or an existing one and be as easy as naming Adventure Unlimited
as a beneficiary to your policy.
Real
estate and other property can be given, but must be reviewed by
the Board of Trustees for acceptance before approval can be given. Call
the Headquarters office with a legal description of the property's location
for review. If acceptable to the Board of Trustees, the property can
be deeded to Adventure Unlimited, Inc.
In-kind gifts of products are always welcome.
This type of gift is often convenient for companies with products that
meet the needs of A/U. However, many individuals also give in-kind gifts.
